BRAINS!!

.

L participated in her first public zombie event tonight.  Daniel did her awesome make-up so she could finally be a real zombie princess:

When G told me that they were doing a zombie walk today and that L needed to do it, I was really excited.  But it wasn't really a walk this year.  They did a zombie mixer at ZaPow! then a zombie pub crawl.  L found a group of fellow mini-zombies and then took over the raffle drawing.

Around the shop. . .

This week we got some new (older) fabric!

A little Midwest Modern from Amy Butler:

Some Parisville by Tula Pink:
A few more Silent Cinema by Jenean Morrison:
Haven's Edge by Tina Givens:

And Innocent Crush by Anna Maria Horner:

The best part is that Westminster had a sale, so they are retailing for $6.99 a yard!

Mom, Ron, and I have been been working on several projects.
The first two, Nova and Tapestry, are custom quilt projects.
Hopefully by next week I'll have some pictures of them finished.

This one is my Lucky Log Cabin quilt.  Jess bound it for me, and she dropped it off today!
I just pulled it out of the dryer and put it on my bed.
(Please ignore the unfortunate color of my wall)

Soon I'll have a pattern available in store and online for my quilt.

And this has nothing to do with the store, but check out this post tumble picture of my pigtailed cutie.

Super Fun!

I'm writing today about one of my favorite customers, Bel.
She has started a new crafty venture called "I've Stepped Out".
Check out the Tipsy fabrics ;-)

L loves when she comes in the store because sometimes she brings her buddy, Henry.

She is making super cute kids capes that are extra great because they are cotton.  (so you don't have to worry about melting the weird polyester fabrics that most kids' costumes are made out of)
She has also been making Christmas stockings, and is talking about bags.
I've Stepped Out's items will be included in our booth at the Big Crafty if we are lucky enough to be included.

In the meantime, you can find her at The Little Flea in West Asheville on Saturdays, or everyday on her facebook and etsy.
